Pre-School opens 8th September

Dear Parents

I am delighted to announce that Startright Pre-School re-opens on 8th September.

We have spent lots of time over the summer cleaning Pre-School and removing some of the equipment and resources in order to allow for more space to adhere to social distancing guidelines.
We have added non slip foot markings on the floor to help children understand how to keep 2 metres between themselves and their friends.

Please ensure your child has named indoor slippers to wear in Pre-School.

Our hygiene protocol has always been very high and we will continue to encourage children to wash their hands regularly for 20 seconds – they are all going to be great counters by the time the summer holiday arrives 🙂

Here is a reminder of our new policies and procedures:

  1. The number of team members in the building will be reduced according to how many children we have each day in order to comply with social distancing. We will of course be adhering to ratio rules.
  2. At the start of each day, all team members will have their temperature taken, will wash their hands for a minimum of 20 seconds and apply hand sanitiser.
  3. All surfaces will be washed and sanitised.
  4. All equipment and toys will be cleaned and sanitised daily.
  5. Where necessary, PPE will be worn by the team and disposed off immediately.
  6. Parents are no longer permitted inside the building. All children will be received from their parents at the main front door (downstairs).
  7. Please adhere to the 2 metre distancing rules when waiting outside – these will be highlighted by  cones.
  8. When a child is met at the door by a team member, they will have their temperature taken by a  forehead thermometer, they will then go straight into the bathroom to wash their hands before being taken upstairs.
  9. The register will be conducted electronically, so parents will not need to sign their child in/out.
  10. During snack and lunch time, we will have 2/ 3 tables set out and reduce the numbers of the children to pairs or at most 3 children at each table.
  11. Weather permitting, most of our daily routine will be taking place outside in our wonderful garden. Again, all equipment will be cleaned and sanitised daily.
  12. All children will be brought downstairs by the team at home time and parents will collect their child at the front door.

I’m looking forward to seeing lots of you next week!

Take care and keep well,

Mrs BJ and the Pre-School Team
