Dear Parent/ Carers
Can you believe we are in the lead up to the Christmas break already? This is a super busy time at Pre-School and there are lots of key dates to let you know about:
🎶 Singing for the Elderly on 10th December 2025
We will be visiting the elderly in the local area to sing and are looking for parent volunteers to join us to help take the children by bus. If you can support us, please let us know.
🎄 Christmas Jumper Day on 11th December 2025
Children are welcome to come in wearing their favourite Christmas jumpers – we will be collecting donations for Save the Children. If your child does not usually attend on this please feel free to send them in to Pre-School in their jumper throughout the week.
🎅 Christmas Party on 11th December 2025
All children are invited! Children that usually finish at 12noon on Thursdays can stay until 1pm (they must be collected promptly at 1pm). Children that normally attend afternoon session on Thursdays can come in an hour early at 11am. Children that do not ttend on Thursday at all are welcome to join the fun from 11am and collected by 1pm.
We are looking forward to spending this very busy and exciting few weeks with the children before we break for Christmas on Friday 19th December 2025.
Invoices
PLEASE ENSURE ALL OUTSTANDING INVOICES ARE PAID BY 5TH DECEMBER 2025. LATE PAYMENT CHARGES WILL BE ALLOCATED TO ALL OUTSTANDING INVOICES FROM 8TH DECEMBER.

Safeguarding Update
As part of our safeguarding policy, we have joined with the police on Operation Encompass.
All staff have taken the training, allowing our setting to be registered and work with police on cases affecting children, including domestic abuse.
Theme of the Week (5th December) – People Who Help Us
If any parent works in health care, police, fire service, is a teacher, or works in any helpful community role, we’d love you to come in and speak to the children about your job.
Applying for Reception or School Nursery Places
Applications close 15th January 2026. Please apply online via Hertfordshire County Council. We are happy to help if you have any queries.
Baby’s Days
Please check Baby’s Day every day for up to date photos and information about what your child has been up to at Pre-School. We love to read your feedback!
