Startright Pre-School Newsletter May 2019

Welcome

We did it! Our new garden looks fabulous and we couldn’t have done it without your generous
support. The children have spent the last week familiarising themselves with their new space and they love it – they would spend all day out there if they could 🙂 To thank you all for raising a whopping £1088.80 we will be inviting you to the official opening party June 5th – invites will be sent out soon.

Little Mandarin Classes
The children had a taste of a ‘Little Mandarin’ class on Friday 25th April which they all enjoyed. We are looking at making the classes a permanent addition to our Friday session. The cost is £6 per 30 minutes session (10 week term is £60).
We would need a minimum of 10 children to start the classes. Classes to start after half term in May.
There are also free online resources if you sign up to the classes that include videos to help you learn sign language, songs and key words.

Reminders
– Please do not park or pull up outside our Pre-School building, there is ample free parking in Kemp Place carpark and surrounding roads. We need to keep the children safe outside the building and want to keep the area car free
– Please remember Pre-School sessions finish at 12pm and 3pm prompt.

Water Bottles
We will be leaving the children’s water bottles outside of the Pre-School room at the end of every session for you to collect. This is to avoid confusion and the wrong bottles being taken home in error.

Speech and Language
We have a list of dates and times of Children’s Speech and Language drop-in clinics in and around Watford. Please speak to Mrs BJ if you think your child will benefit from attending one of the clinics.

Parent Survey
Your views are really important to us. We’d really appreciate you taking time to complete our survey in order for us to continually improve the care we give your children.
